Bantayan Island is situated to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, Philippines. Santa Fe in Bantayan Island is a semi Boracy Beach of Cebu. It is one of the favorite local tourist and foreign destination from Summer to Rainy season. Because of it’s white sand beach, calm sea water, friendly people, and relaxing environment it’s one the best place to spend holidays.
Before it was a long travel to reach Bantayan Island since the only way is by land and sea. BUT now people who wants to explore Bantayan Island can now travel by air and can reach the Island within 30 minutes to 45 minutes. As of writing Air Juan has only 2 flights schedule that’s Monday and Thursday only. We booked our accommodation first before I found out that there is a flight already to Bantayan Island. Was lucky enough we booked our Kota Beach accommodation on Thursday.
Challenge before our flight:
We hire the Quest Hotel shuttle van to drop us off to the airport. The driver Eric said he normally drop off passengers going to Bantayan Island at the General Aviation. We considered his opinion since he’s more familiar than us. When we reached General Aviation some people said that we should go to Mactan International Airport to catch our flight. Some says we will be departed at General Aviation in a Sea plane. The four of us we’re confused. To verify, I called Air Juan customer service and in just few seconds I talked to a customer service agent and told me that we should go to Mactan International Airport. After I hanged up the phone I called the Quest Hotel shuttle driver to come back and sent us to the airport. My three mates including my husband already panicking and their faces cannot be drawn because almost 9:00AM and we should check-in at 9:15AM. With the right attitude I waited to the final says of the head person who works at Air Juan at the General Aviation. And the decision is we should go to Mactan International Airport. The team also contacted Air Juan at the airport about us. I a wee while the shuttle van arrived. For about 10 minutes we reached the airport and the lady at the check-in already printed our boarding pass.
Santa Fe Airport
Air Juan landed at Santa Fe Airport in a small run way concrete and continues to the grass area infront of the wee cute Santa Fe Airport office. Foreigners also waited the plane to be fly back to Mactan Cebu International Airport.
Transportation from Airport to Kota Beach:
After we got all our lagguage tricycle drivers team up and help the passangers to reach accommodations. Tata one of the tricyle driver offers to send us to Kota Beach. About 10 minutes we reach our accommodation and we just paid 50.00 pesos each.
If you booked a pick up from your accommodation they will pick you up at the airport. But us we enjoy our adventure.

Fare:
When we booked our flight for our 2017 Holiday the fare is so affordable. Each passenger only cost PHP 1,685.71 and just add 12% VAT. For 40 minutes travel from Cebu Mactan International Airport to Bantayan Island WITHOUT traffic is absolutely satisfying.
