Mysterious Maroon Yacht Stranded at New Brighton Seashore!
Last night I saw a Facebook post about stranded boat in New Brighton. I scroll down the comments of the post to check how fresh is the situation. One guy commented 2 hours ago that he saw the boat in New Brighton. So I decided to make a plan to shoot the stranded boat on sunrise. I pack up my gears, check battery and SD, tripods, and grab the filter of my husband (while he’s sleeping) coz he work on Saturday so we can’t go together to photograph. Set my alarm at 5:30AM and snooze for 5 hours and 30 minutes.
Alarm is On and time to get up. I check the sky and it’s cloudy. But I still stick to my plan to go to New Brighton. The first trip of Yellow bus is at 6:33AM which is the same as the Sun will rise. What a timing! While waiting for the bus I saw pink color of the sky at south east area. How I wish I’m already at New Brighton. Few minutes the bus arrive.
Facing the ocean a wee bit far from the left side of the New Brighton Bridge is where the ‘Stranded Yacht’. Passers by and curious people took their cellphones are busy clicking their gadgets and Photographers are keep coming with their cool EOS cameras.
This Stranded Yacht becomes a great photographer’s hot spot subject this weekend.

I took a selfie before I leave. Just few people now at the back compared when I arrive.
As I am curious why this sea vessel stranded here. I had a quick research. And I found out that the owner of the yacht swam ashore and taken to the hospital for treatment. Hope he’s alright.
